FEATURED PROJECTS
City of Kirkland Official Website
City of Kirkland implemented a Responsive Web Design (RWD) and launched their new website in August 2014. I was a part of the design team and experienced the entire process; research, design, implementation, testing, and launch. My biggest role for this project was to make sure the website is ADA compliant. In addition to the City’s website, I redesigned Kirkland’s free wifi page to demonstrate how RWD works to web reps from each department.
Monster Mile
Monster Mile Event is an annual Halloween family fun run event in Kirkland. My inspiration for this project was Goonies meets Pirates of Caribbean. The title Monster Mile is incorporated in monster’s shoe print with skulls, a bat and the moon to communicate that this is a Halloween run/walk event. I used many different rusted and stained textures to add grungy look and depth to the image.
Adult Soccer League
This is a project to advertise a new adults’ soccer league to join. Challenges for this project were creatively incorporating two images and conveying messages to viewers at a glance. My inspiration was the double exposure images. I created a double exposure collage to bring a unique look as well as aesthetics and a magazine cover like design to organize information within a grid.
Run For Your Life
This is to advertise a spring running training with a pro marathon runner. So it was important to me to use a photo image instead of illustrations to give a more serious look to the brochure.
Welcome to Green Kirkland
This trifold presentation board was created to educate people for what Green Kirkland Partnership and City of Kirkland do as well as to recruit volunteers. I chose a much brighter color palette and infographics looks to catch people’s eye.
